A TREASURE TROVE OF ABAUNDANT PLEASURE GUARANTED TO MAKE YOUR HEART SING
Let’s begin with the strikingly gorgeous cover of Beautifully Broken. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was going to be magical. Then once I opened up to the first page, I knew I was guaranteed an abundance of pleasure.
Sectioned into three parts, Broken, Bent and Healing & Happy, an emotional spell had been cast upon me from the very first until the very last poem. My heart squeezed with sorrow, skipped with hope and sang with exuberance as the author, Elena Ruiz transported me through an epic journey of heartbreak, struggle, inspiration, perseverance, and the triumph.
Silly me, I was so enthralled with Ms. Ruiz’s words. I’d begun to highlight each of my favorite poems to revisit again and again and quickly realized, I couldn’t pick a favorite. I feel in love with them all. Each poem gripped my soul. I’m sure by now, that anyone reading my review, realizes I’m an awestruck fan of Elena Ruiz. I’m simply blown away by her talent. I look forward to reading more of her work. She is truly a one-click, five-star author for me.
