Mariah Winslow has dreamed of becoming a partner in her father’s shipping company since childhood. Strong willed and independent, Mariah has partaken in some pretty outlandish behavior.pic Both beautiful and intelligent, she cares little for what society thinks. However, her father is determined to turn her into a proper lady. When he does the unthinkable, enlisting the help of Robert Carlisle to assist in finding Mariah a suitable husband, she becomes a force to be reckoned with until she finds she actually likes the intolerable man.

A partnership with Winslow Shipping Company is the opportunity that Robert Carlisle has worked tirelessly for. There is only one obstacle—Mariah Winslow. To seal the deal, Robert agrees to use the Carlisle family’s influence to marry off the insufferable woman. He hadn’t planned to find himself in love with Mariah nor did he plan to have to choose between loving her, obtaining a partnership, or reconciling with his past.

My thoughts:

The chemistry between Robert and Mariah was combustible. I couldn’t put this Regency romance down. Anna Harrington is one of my all-time favorite authors and once again, she’d written a spellbinding story.

Happy Reading!
